經文：「看見門徒...搖櫓甚苦。」（可6:48） 我們不能靠自己的努力，來達成神所交付的工作，因為神交付的工作， 只有神自己能成就。所以若能安靜地將它交托給神，我們就能看見事情做得又好又完全。 那麼，應該用甚麼方法讓神藉著我們來做呢？沒有別的，只有用完全的信心享有基督，並深信祂已經充滿了我們的生命。 曾經有一位已經學到這個秘訣的弟兄說：「我已經在耶穌裡喝了祂所賜的活水，所以我永遠不會再渴了。我的格言是：『不要過勞，乃要過溢。』，而這個格言已經令我的生活和從前完全不同。」 過溢是不需要費力、閒逸、無可抵抗的；這種全能與無窮的成功，原是基督今天並且永遠所給我們享受的平凡生活。--譯自主日學報 Sunday School Times 「復活的靜止中，蘊含著復活的能力。」 新譯｜荒漠甘泉讀書會

Scripture: "And he saw them toiling in rowing" (Mark 6:48). Straining, driving effort does not accomplish the work God gives man to do. Only God Himself, who always works without strain, and who never overworks, can do the work that He assigns to His children. When they restfully trust Him to do it, it will be well done and completely done. The way to let Him do His work through us is to partake of Christ so fully, by faith, that He more than fills our life. A man who had learned this secret once said: "I came to Jesus and I drank, and I do not think that I shall ever be thirsty again. I have taken for my motto, 'Not overwork, but overflow'; and already it has made all the difference in my life." There is no effort in overflow. It is quietly irresistible.
