經文：「...我必勸導他，領他到曠野，對他說安慰的話。從那裡我必賜他葡萄園，又賜他亞割谷作為指望的門，他必在那裡歌唱，與幼年的日子一樣。」（何2:14-15） 在甚麼地方找到「葡萄園」？在「曠野」裡！眞奇怪，在一個連出路也很難找到的「曠野」裡竟然找到「葡萄園」！ 親愛的讀者，在這裡可以看見：我們屬靈的豐富能在「曠野」；一個寂靜的地方；找到。不但能找到「葡萄園」，也能找到「亞割谷（亞割意即苦難）作為指望的門」。「他必在那裡歌唱，與幼年的日子一樣！」 是的，神知道我們需要曠野的經歷；祂知道在甚麼地方能生出忍耐來，祂也知道該如何才能生出忍耐來。我們的心是叛逆又善於崇拜偶像的，最會忘記神，也最會固執地說：「我要隨從我所愛的。」（何2:5） 等到我們絕望了，又被人棄絕的時候，神卻說：「我必勸導他，領他到曠野，對他說安慰的話。」；我們的神真是一位有愛的神啊！--碎錦 Crumbs 新譯｜荒漠甘泉讀書會

Scripture: "I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness…And I will give her her vineyards from thence" (Hosea 2:14-15). A strange place to find vineyards--in the wilderness! And can it be that the riches which a soul needs can be obtained in the wilderness, which stands for a lonely place, out of which you can seldom find your way? It would seem so, and not only that, but the "Valley of Achor," which means bitterness, is called a door of hope. And she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth! Yes, God knows our need of the wilderness experience. He knows where and how to bring out that which is enduring. The soul has been idolatrous, rebellious; has forgotten God, and with a perfect self-will has said, "I will follow after my lovers." But she did not overtake them. And, when she was hopeless and forsaken, God said, "I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her." What a loving God is ours! --Crumbs We never know where God hides His pools. We see a rock, and we cannot guess it is the home of the spring. We see a flinty place, and we cannot tell it is the hiding place of a fountain.
